Born and raised in Maryland, I haven't flown far from the nest, at least not for any great length of time. I moved three years ago from my hometown in Frederick County to live with my husband, Chris, in a small city north of Baltimore.

I have a bachelors degree in Information Systems Management, a masters in Professional Writing, and am now working towards my doctorate in Communications Design.  You might say I'm a perpetual student.

For the last three years I've worked for a small company, Bill Me Later, which has recently been acquired by eBay, Inc.  I work in the security realm, doing mostly IT compliance related activities.  Before that, I worked in biotech also doing compliance.

I have a tiny dog named Audrie, a pet turtle named Pokey, and a giant walrus-like cat named Scout. Pictures forthcoming.
